Electronic Design Automation with a special interest in variations (multiple sources of variations like process, voltage, temperature, and EDA tools and models inaccuracies) that impact performance, timing violations and timing yield; in computer/ASIC design and signoff methodology, design and signal integrity (timing signoff, state-of-the-art STA tools, sources of variation, crosstalk, clock, signal electro-migration, and SSTA) and Electronic Design Automation (EDA) methodology and tool development; in physical design automation (partitioning, placement, global and detail routing); signal integrity (crosstalk, clock, electro migration), performance-driven methods; timing optimization; models of circuits and layouts; estimation of time delay and geometrical parameters of electronic chips and blocks; probability and stochastic modeling; hierarchical design; analysis and development of complex algorithms for EDA; hierarchical system analysis and evaluation.
Computer Architecture (with a special interest in distributed and parallel systems, parallel computing and programming, hardware/software parallelism, program partitioning and scheduling, system interconnect architectures).
